Background
I trained as a nurse in Burnley and have worked as a Health Visitor in North East Lancashire for over twenty years.
In 1984 I stated practicing in at the Stress Clinic in Barrowford at Dacatie House.
Current Interests
The truth is that every client is interesting but you'll see from the Home Page that I have highlighted "Panic Attacks" as an area of particular interest. My experience is that they are generally handled badly by most professionals.
Phrases such as "face your fear," have little meaning to someone in dread of the next attack. I know what is implied by the phrase but those suffering panic attacks believe that the last thing they wish to do is face them - they put all their energy into not having them - and fail.
